Wire Cutters1. Take your string and wrap it around your wrist to measure it’s circumfrence and cut the string. Now take a new piece of string and measure the circumfrence of your middle finger. Cut that piece. Take…
DIY Polymer Clay Pendant. If you’ve ever wanted to try out polymer clay, this is a really good tutorial/pictorial on how to create a simple pendant. Go on the internet to see how to use sandpaper (going from course to very very fine) to make your polymer really shiny without using a coating. One download photo from galka_vasina’s Flickrstream here. *Scariest thing about working with polymer clay: the knife. They used to be only available at medical supply houses and were called tissue knives because that’s what they sliced up.
DIY drip catcher from a 2L soda bottle. This is one to remember for those Superbowl parties coming up! And summertime events!

DIY Very Long Beaded Wrap Bracelet. With information on the gauge of wire to use (thank you!). Tutorial from Trinkets in Bloom here. *You could also use memory wire (look for it at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc.. EDIT: awkwardinnocent wrote: Make sure you get a wider memory wire! Sometimes it comes really small.
DIY Hair Necklace | The Beauty Department
I usually only post DIYs that I myself would want to do, but I gotta be honest - putting this in my hair would end up a massive, knotty disaster. But I love it so much I had to share it anyway! It reminds me of the very popular trend of long dangly ear cuffs that are everywhere at the moment. This does require a little skill - mainly using the pliers to open and close the loops of the chain - but once you get the hang of it you’ll be addicted to jewelry making and there’s no turning back! Haha!
Summer Sandals | Gap & Threadless
So Gap has teamed up with Threadless to bring us tshirt based DIYs! The first project is this pair of Summer sandals that look much more difficult than they actually are! All you need are thongs, an old tshirt and a needle & thread. Perfect beach shoes just for you!
Open Shoulder Blouse | Ella Gata
I’ve been seeing these open shoulder blouses everywhere at the moment. I saw one in Grazia magazine that just had the shoulders off (instead of like this with the arms too) which was awesome - just different enough to make it ‘fresh’. If you want to try this and don’t sew Ella Gata suggests using fusible tape.

Best idea ever for those shirts that tend to slide off your shoulders. Sew in a simple clip to attach around your bra.
